TDI Trimix Diver
The TDI Trimix course provides the training required to competently and safely utilize breathing gases containing helium for dives that require staged decompression, utilizing nitrox and / or oxygen mixtures during decompression to a maximum depth of 60 metres / 200 feet. The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures of utilizing custom oxygen / helium / nitrogen mixtures as breathing gases. Gas mixes are not to have any less than 18 percent oxygen (O2).
Course Pre-requisite
At least 18 years old
TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver or equivalent
TDI Decompression Procedures Diver or equivalent
100 Open Water Dives
Course Components
Knowledge Development with Written Exam
Dry Skills Development
Confined Water Skills Development
4 Open Water Dives with a total bottom time of 100 minutes, with 2 dives deeper than 40m
Course Equipment
2 sets of regulators, each with 1 first and second stage, with at least 1 pressure gauge and inflation hose
Dive Computer with depth gauge and bottom timer
Backmount or Sidemount
Line Cutting Device
2 SMB adequate for maximum planned depth
2 set of regulator for decompression mix, with 1 first and second stage and pressure gauge
